Web Conference Reflections

The first web conference was at the beginning of the class and it really focused on what we would be doing in the class. All of us were trying to understand what the class would be like and what we needed to do learn how to create a video. The first lesson was on our Personal Digital Story taken from still shots. Dr. Abernathy reviewed some of the details of the assignment. Video creation is not something I have done and I was looking forward to learning how to create videos. We were also told about the last three weeks of class and that we would be working in teams to complete a video
The second web conference was during the second week of the class and this lesson focused on Podcast. I learned about Audacity and some of the things we needed to edit and how we needed to create our Podcast and upload it to. The web conference also dealt with Creative Commons and Copyright Information. I teach HTML and have a lesson on Copyright. I was very glad it was brought into this lesson as it is an extremely important thing to do and know. The last thing needed is to be sued by using someone work.
The third web conference started us on our journey for the next three weeks. We had formed our teams and discussed what we needed to do and how we would go about doing it. At what point we needed to start what. We knew we would submit assignments and they would change each week as we progressed on our project. This week we were trying to get our arms around the skill set of the team. The class was starting to get very busy during this week.
The fourth web conference was during the busiest week. This conference helped us understand that we would only submit a few things as we were right in the middle of production and editing. This was by far the busiest week for our team. The video was shot and the editing was started. We were grateful we did not have to submit a lot of things as we were working so hard to get things in just the right order.
